 ➼ *Every year on October 18, 'World Menopause Day' is celebrated all over the world.*

 ➼ *India has provided a loan of over Rs 487 crore to Mauritius for the  ' Water Pipeline Replacement Project'* .
भारत ने मॉरीशस को ‘जल पाइपलाइन प्रतिस्थापन परियोजना’ के लिए 487 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक का ऋण प्रदान किया है।

 ➼ *India International Centre's 20th annual festival 'IIC Anubhav Kala Ka Utsav' will be held in New Delhi from October 18. The theme of this five-day event is "Kalpavriksha-Nationalist Movement, Freedom and Identity."* 
इंडिया इंटरनेशनल सेंटर का 20वां वार्षिक उत्‍सव ‘IIC अनुभव कला का उत्‍सव’ 18 अक्टूबर से नई दिल्‍ली में  होगा। पांच दिन के इस आयोजन का विषय है ”कल्‍पवृक्ष-राष्‍ट्रवादी आंदोलन, स्‍वतंत्रता और पहचान।”

 ➼ *The Central Board of Direct Taxes has amended the Income Tax rules for salaried employees. These are aimed at simplifying the process of tax collection at source and credit claim for taxes deducted.* 
केंद्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड ने वेतनभोगी कर्मचारियों के लिए आयकर नियमों में संशोधन किए हैं। इनका उद्देश्य स्रोत पर कर-संग्रह और करों की कटौती के लिए क्रेडिट दावा प्रक्रिया को सरल बनाना है।

निशानेबाजी विश्व कप फाइनल में भारत के ‘विवान कपूर’ ने 17 अक्टूबर को ट्रेप स्‍पर्धा में रजत पदक जीता है।

 ➼ *Famous actor ' Debraj Roy' has passed away at the age of 69. He started his film career  in 1970 with Satyajit Ray's film' Pratidwandi' .* 
प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता ‘देबराज रॉय’ का 69 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया है। वर्ष 1970 में उन्होंने ‘सत्यजीत रे’ की फिल्म ‘प्रतिद्वंदी’ से अपना फ़िल्मी सफर शुरु किया था।

 ➼ *The Supreme Court has declared  ' Section 6A' of the Citizenship Act as constitutionally valid.* 
उच्चतम न्यायालय ने नागरिकता कानून की ‘धारा 6A’ को संवैधानिक रूप से वैध करार दिया है।

 ➼ *SEBI has announced the launch of ' Liquidity Window Facility' in debt securities through stock exchange mechanism . Please note that the liquidity window facility will start from November 1.* 
SEBI ने स्टॉक एक्सचेंज मैकेनिज्म के जरिए डेट सिक्योरिटीज में ‘लिक्विडिटी विंडो फैसिलिटी’ शुरू करने का ऐलान किया है। बता दें कि लिक्विडिटी विंडो फैसिलिटी 1 नवंबर से शुरू हो जाएगी।

 ➼ *Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the 'International Methanol Seminar and Exhibition' organised by NITI Aayog in New Delhi on October 17.* 
केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने 17 अक्टूबर को नई दिल्ली में नीति आयोग द्वारा आयोजित ‘अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मेथनॉल संगोष्ठी एवं प्रदर्शनी’ का उद्घाटन किया है।

 ➼ *Liam Payne, former member of the world famous music band 'One Direction' has passed away at the age of 31.* 
विश्व प्रसिद्ध म्यूजिक बैंड ‘वन डायरेक्शन’ (One Direction) के पूर्व सदस्य ‘लियाम पायने’ का 31 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया है।

 ➼ *India's Arjun Erigaisi has won the Chess Masters Cup.* 
भारत के ‘अर्जुन एरिगैसी’ ने शतरंज मास्टर्स कप जीता है।

 ➼ *India's 'Amanjeet Singh' has won the bronze medal in the Skeet Final Shotgun event  in the ISSF Shooting World Cup Final in New Delhi.*
